Jewish Prayer for ill person

Male:
May the one who blessed our ancestors
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah,
Bless and heal the one who is ill:
________________ son/daughter of __________________.
May the Holy One, Fount of Blessings,
Shower abundant mercies upon him,
Fulfilling his dreams of healing,
Strengthening him with the power of life.

Merciful One:
Restore him,
Heal him,
Strengthen him,
Enliven him.

Send him a complete healing
From the Heavenly Realms.
A healing of body and a healing of soul, together with all who are ill, soon, speedily, without delay:
And let us say: AMEN

Every Chaplain has a different way of praying, conducting a service or even preparing for a sermon. This page is dedicated to those Chaplains who wish to share their “secret to serving God” with other Chaplains. Please send us your favorite prayer, hymn, poem or story.
